The hall is not the desk
The public site shows the organization and the line. Worker start/stop and queue guts stay off this internet.
A dashboard bound to the public internet becomes the product, then the attack surface. So the hall is a projection: names, status, a factory you can watch, papers, a door to buy.
The desk that starts workers is elsewhere. Showing the machine in public is not publishing the keys. That split is the work.
